Amba

14-year-old Amba lives with her parents and six siblings. Like many girls in the Thar Desert, Amba is unable to attend school due to responsibilities like water collection and tending to their family’s livestock. Despite her workload, Amba loves studying and often studies at home after finishing her work.

Amba hopes to attend school and dreams of completing college and becoming a nurse or teacher.

A water collection tank will enable Amba’s family to have clean water. As a result, Amba will be able to pursue her education and aspirations.
